Apparently the signs aren't enough.
They need to put an island in the center to force people around the circle.
Even with our large circles I've occasionally heard of people trying to drive across them. :=/

Ours have mounds in the middle; people do still try do drive over some of the lower ones.
Roundabouts do work in some situations; they just need to be designed properly and drivers need to know how to use them.

We don't have many the round abouts here but the few we do have have obstacles in the center to force people to follow the signs.
