Cat antics

Silly cat nearly gave me a heart attack today. I couldn't find him at all after I came back from grocery shopping. Rattled his treats, no response, called his name, no response. Tore through the house for about 20 minutes, looking in things, behind things, under things. All the things (or so I thought). Thought maybe he got outside somehow, or was wedged under something sick or worse (Mojo's sudden death in December still hurts, and is often on my mind). Finally I found the little booger in his 'cave': the spot at the foot of the bed where the comforter drapes down and touches the floor. Gah. So I petted him, gave him a treat and went back out for errands part 2, which included more of the only chicken-free, grain-free formula that he will eat and doesn't set off his allergies. His fur does seem to be growing back finally, too, with the new food.

Best Buy was the next stop, to use my coupon, and they've certainly amped up the sales associate presence on the floor. I must have been greeted/stalked by 6 different people in my wanderings. Their anime section sucks now but I found a mini tripod and a flash drive so yey.

Now, spicy shrimp inari sushi for lunch. It's supermarket sushi but it's actually not bad.

Coupons?

In my shopping travels, I acquired two $20 off a purchase of $50 or more coupons for Fashion Bug. I'm not likely to return within the time limit of said coupons (November 27-December 3) but if anyone wants them I'd be happy to mail them out to you. They do not appear to be limited to NJ stores.

Coupons

Anyone out there, with access to a Shop Rite, take Prilosec OTC? I ask because I received two coupons that I won't use but since one is for $2 off and the other is for a free 14 count package, I thought they might be of some use to someone, since that stuff can be pricey.

Let me know and I'll pop them in the mail. The free one expires on August 31, 2011.

I swear people get really weird about bags. I was in the Hallmark earlier, buying a graduation card and in the short time I was there, two customers gave the cashier grief over their bags. (Store policy, from what I heard, is to give size appropriate bags for a purchase, ie no ginormous handle bag for a small card purchase, and not to give extras.) The second customer got all passive aggressive over it, he was the one wanting an extra bag, likely to use as a gift bag for whatever it was he was buying, and still harped at the cashier even when she was nice enough to bend policy and give him a second bag anyway.

Bah. Maybe this annoyed me more than it should since I worked in a Hallmark for a couple of years and came to despise most holidays as a result.

But I got nice smelly candles so yey.

Went shoe shopping earlier for a wedding that I am attending next weekend. I actually bought a second pair of shoes because I thought they were cute. Gah. I feel like such a girl.

On a related note, as I am clueless as to shoe/dressy clothes etiquette, if the shoe is darker than the tone of the dress, that's still ok? The dress in question is a reddish plum with a darker, almost purple undertone, and the shoe matches the undertone almost exactly.
