It will depend a lot on what is in between what's on that trailer. I will certainly admit that it looks like they went way overboard making the story 'current' for modern audiences. Here's hoping they haven't totally destroyed yet another wonderful story that is very relevant to our 21st century society.

I hope they haven't either. From the looks of the other trailers, they have kept at least some of the story, ie the Once-ler telling his tale, the destroyed forest, the passing on of the last Truffula seed etc.

I just don't have high hopes, given what they did to The Cat in the Hat, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Horton Hears a Who.
