Dear god what have I done?

Hello Dreamwidth, long time no see. I figured I'd kick off this attempt to participate in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) by sharing my wibbly stress about a decision I just made, after taking a month to deliberate.
You see, I finally decided...to accept the invitation given to me to become Art Show staff at Anthrocon. 0_o. Help me.
It would be a lot of responsibility, and while I have my own personal issues with any perceived position of "authority" and a near pathological fear of being wrong or doing the wrong thing, I've also spent several years putting in a lot of hours at the art show simply because I like to help.
I suppose we'll see how this goes.
I also may have tipped off a patient at work about the nature of my fandom, as I was commenting on the Hamster Princess book his daughter was reading. I mentioned buying various Ursula Vernon goodies at a convention, he asked which one, and I replied....Anthrocon. He mentioned he'd heard of it. Hopefully, only good things. *wibble*
