(no subject)

I was given this F by ka_crow (and I've been out of school for what feels like eons now ;)), and I'm supposed to list ten things that begin with F that I like, with a brief explanation for each.

They are, in no particular order:

fire-What can I say, the little pyromaniac in my head giggles with glee whenever I see a flame. There's something very primal, dangerous, and enticing about the hiss, the crackle and the smoke of a good fire, like it could easily kill you without effort, but won't, as long as you keep it sated.

funnel cake-a staple of boardwalks and fairs, and quite nummy. Messy as hell if they go nuts with the powdered sugar topping, though.

Futurama-One of my favourite cartoons, it had a narrative quality that I feel The Simpsons lacks, and I like The Simpsons. Futurama had characters I enjoyed, some episodes were great fodder for thought (Godfellas for instance) and some managed to make me cry on more than one occasion. (Yeah, I'm looking at you, Jurassic Bark. Damn episode gets me every single time)

foxes-they're cute, crafty and are featured in the folklore of many cultures. Busy lil' things, aren't they? :)

Flake-bars of thinly folded Cadbury milk chocolate. They're crumbly and oh so tasty.

felidae-my favourite family of mammals. (also a hard to find cartoon)

fencing- I'd like to learn this, were I not in such horrid shape. (fencing with the épées, not building boundaries)

forts-they're neat, have interesting histories and fun to photograph and explore.

Fifth Element, The-I love this movie. It has a different sort of feel and pacing to it than a typical science fiction flick, has amusing dialogue and is just...fun.

female pirates-there weren't many of them, when compared to the hordes of males on the sea, but quite a few are famous, like Grace O'Malley, Anne Bonny, Mary Read, etc. There is also history of women pirates from Sweden, Norway and China, to name a few countries.
