...are currently splattered in the road in front of my house. The victim is most likely one of the pumpkins the folks diagonally to the right of us across the street had displayed on their steps. There was a horde of children in the driveway of the diagonally left across the street house earlier before I noticed the mushed gourd. *snorts* What's the point of my carving the pumpkins that currently rest on our back porch if those little shits are going to smash them? Not necessarily those particular children in the driveway, but still. The fact that someone can so disregard respect for the property of others that they will literally walk up to another's porch, remove something from it and smash it sickens me. Luckily I will not be home most of the night for Halloween, have to work anyway, and I do not want to hand out free treats to undeserving brats. Bah. Spoil my favourite holiday, will they?

This rant was brought to you by a lingering cold that will not go away, accompanied by a sore throat, general lassitude and that strange disconnected feeling that overly full sinuses grant the sufferer.

Take one ill feeling chelioness, add monumental crowds, stupid people, narrow aisles and double strollers full of whining kids and you get: Me at the Atlantic City Gourmet Food and Gift Show. The show itself was neat, lots of free samples (which basically meant large crowds gathered immovably around most of the tables, and the all too frequent elbow in the ribs), some cool products and of course, crowds! Biiiig crowds. Personally, I think strollers should be banned at those types of shows, they take up half the already narrow aisle and most folks are none too careful how they steer them. FOlks are also none too careful where they walk, or if suddenly stopping in the middle of the aisle to chat with someone inconveniences the rest of us trying to get through the area. Either that or they wander aimlessly with a vacant look on their faces.

Of course, after we left, I decide that I wanted something I saw there and I didn't feel like going back. But, luckily I snagged a brochure. Nature's Way Aromatherapy Packs I'm prone to both headaches and a recurring pain in my right shoulder, so I figured why not give this a try? The packs smelled good, the only disadvantage of online ordering is that I can't pick the fabric design. Well that and the shipping fees. ;) But it's worth it to not have to fight my way back through that crowd.

Another adventure is trying to figure out the parking garage for the A.C. Convention Center. Or more specifically, being stuck behind someone trying to figure out the ticket/payment system, which is not the most user friendly thing they could have installed. Ah well.
