Random Drivel...

I have to buy new sneakers. I hate wearing sneakers in the summer but I can't wear my sandals to work. (Yes, I'm sure you're all riveted to this boring news flash ;))
One of the few good things about my previous job in a greenhouse is that I could wear shorts and sandals every day. I also used to sabotage the mousetraps and let them out.
The only thing I miss about that place was the random silliness and the plant related conversations. The petty shenanigans, the bickering the...two faced maneuvering, nope, don't miss that a bit. Although it was cool when the building got hit by lightning and started to flood. :) (Luckily I was not standing ankle deep in the water on the floor at the time of the lightning strike, as I had been earlier in the whole flood incident.)

I still have the plant that was given up for dead two years ago that the guy out in perennials gave me. I forget what it's called, but it's related to Mugwort.

Ah well, off to sketch, or read. I've started the 4th book in the Wheel of Time series, much to the irritation of the mate, who can't read as fast as I do. :)

Quite a formidable album, "The Wall", and rather appropriate to my current mindset. Yes, it's about one man's descent into madness, but to quote a certain cat, "Oh, you can't help that. I'm mad, you're mad. We're all mad here."
