Just finished reading The Child Thief by Brom. It's a darker interpretation of the Peter Pan story with some Arthurian elements woven in. I quite enjoyed it. Don't expect anything Disney about it: Peter is pretty much a sociopath, the Lost Boys are killers etc. Still an enjoyable read.

Books don't have to have a happy ending to still be good and beneficial. Just consider how Old Yeller ended. Great film, good message but hard life lesson at the end.

*nods* Very true. Neil Gaiman's Stardust, for example, ended very differently from the recent movie. It was melancholy, and kind of sweet and...a satisfying end all the same.

What's the movie? (Should be easy)

A young girl visits a foreign land and kills the first person she meets.

She then teams up with three strangers and sets out to kill again.
