Theme song theory and events of the weekend

I was watching Cowboy Bebop again this past Saturday night (neat show, I must keep up with it, I've only seen maybe 3 episodes so far) and I finally figured out what was bugging me about the theme music. It sounds remarkably like the old Johnny Quest theme music. Not exactly, mind you, but very similar.

What is it about weekends that makes the time fly by doubly fast. *sighs* I need a vacation.

Yesterday we ate out at a Turkish themed restaurant. It was pretty good, and there was a belly dancer.
